Vacancy Detail

Accounts Administrator

About you

You're an Accounts Administrator who enjoys keeping things organised and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. You like being busy, take pride in getting things right and don't wait to be asked before getting stuck in.

You'll enjoy this role if you like working in a fast paced environment where every day is different and your work genuinely helps keep the business moving. You're proactive, driven and happy managing your own workload while working closely with a supportive team.

If you're looking for a stable, full time Accounts Administrator position where you'll be trusted, valued and given plenty of variety, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

Your experience

You'll have experience as an Accounts Administrator, Finance Administrator or Accounts Assistant and be confident managing day to day accounts administration.

You'll be comfortable processing sales invoices, managing supplier accounts, handling expenses, reconciling accounts and supporting the wider finance function. Experience with subcontractor wages, payroll administration and general office administration would be a real advantage.

You'll have strong Excel skills as much of the daily work is managed through spreadsheets. Experience using Xero will help you settle into the role quickly.

Construction, refurbishment or maintenance experience would be preferred because of the pace of the business, although it is not essential if you have the right attitude and transferable accounts experience.

What you will be doing with your experience

You'll be supporting the smooth running of the accounts and office function for a busy construction and maintenance business based in Dartford.

Your day will include processing sales invoices, managing supplier queries, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing subcontractor wages, processing expenses and supporting monthly accounts.

You'll also help with applications, valuations, cost tracking, timesheets and payroll administration as required. You'll work closely with directors, operational teams and external accountants, making you an important part of the business rather than just another person in the accounts team.

This is a Monday to Friday position working 8am until 5pm with a salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience.

About the business

You'll be joining a well established construction and refurbishment business with a strong reputation and a steady pipeline of work.

The team is friendly, supportive and down to earth. People work closely together, help each other out and appreciate the part the accounts team plays in keeping everything running smoothly.

The business continues to grow, creating a secure environment where you can build your experience, develop your skills and enjoy a long term career.
